TTL Chip Substitutions:

• 74HCT instead of 74LS (but keep the 74LS245's that drive the S-100 bus) 
• 74LS367 for the 8T97
• SN74S412 can be substituted for Intel 8212
• Consider using 7805C (1.5amp version) instead of the 7805 (1A)

Switches: A group order of the NKK switches have been placed and are due to arrive late October. There may be just a couple remaining sets. Switch sets are $81.00 plus $6 shipping. Contact Don Caprio at email address about if you'd like a set.

Switch Bracket: A mounting bracket is needed for a strain relief on the switches. It is also needed as a holding jig while soldering the switches in

place. It's near impossible to get all the switches lined up in uniform order without it.  Frank Schieschke  was kind enough to fabricate a switch bracket from a DXF file I send him of the PCB on his CNC machine. I don't know if Frank can mass produce these brackets but they are very nice. I'll contact him and see if he is offering the brackets to other builders.
